Lift Installation in Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire.
Passenger lifts are by far the most common lift in the world.
A passenger lift is likely the first thing to pop into your mind when you think about it.
An easy, quick, affordable and common solution for individuals and business owners everywhere.
They’re chosen for their versatility, as well as affordability.
Because of their commonality, passenger lifts are low-cost to repair and maintain, and are considered to be extremely reliable.
However, paying attention to regular servicing and maintenance is an extremely important thing to consider throughout the lifts operational functioning.
There are 3 main types of passenger lifts:
It can often be confusing when a lift stops working to know what the best solution is between repairing or replacing the lift.
There are several potential solutions to this question. But in reality, it comes down to one central point:
The older a lift is, the more issues it will have.
If your lift is an older model, we would recommend that the most cost-effective solution would be to install a newer lift.
While many choose to simply repair an old elevator upon failure, this is not the most cost-effective solution, as it can actually be more expensive to consistently repair a lift in the long-term, when compared to investing in a new lift in the short term.
An unreliable lift also represents a significant safety risk, and can risk a businesses reputation in the long-term if not sufficiently serviced.
In summary - if your lift is old and is consistently breaking down, then we would highly recommend you replace the unit itself.

The average passenger lift installation, installed by an industry expert, costs several thousands of pounds.
While prices do often vary between types, companies and models, installations in general cost more than £1,000.
Despite this initial high cost, the ROI is actually very high when taking into account just how much your elevator will be being used in your company offices or home.

Lift installation can be condensed down into 4 distinct stages:
1: LOCATION
Before work can get started, you need to decide where you want your lift to be installed. This also includes deciding how many floors you will want the lift to escalate to.
Our elevator technicians will personally assist you with this decision making process, and ensuring that the location you have chosen is appropriate for the type of lift you are having installed.
After this process has been completed, columns for the lift will be securely installed and safety checks will be carried out.
2: CARRIAGE INSTALLATION
The next step in lift installation is installing your carriage. This is simply the mechanism that will allow your lift to move up and down during operation. This can be a complicated process, and is best handled by a qualified lift service engineer with years of experience.
3: DOORS
So far we’ve identified the location of where your lift will be, how many floors it will be travelling to, and installed the mechanism to allow the lift to function during operation.
Now we will start building the lift itself. At this step, we simply assemble the doors that protect individuals using the lift during operation.
These will be firmly installed and bolted into place by an expert lift engineer.
4: WIRING
A little known fact about lift engineers is that they’re knowledgeable electricians!
While the physical lift and mechanism is now installed, your lift now needs to be appropriately wired until your lift can become fully operational.
This includes installing and connecting the buttons and lighting to your lift, and ensuring that the lifts emergency button is appropriately wired to emergency services.
Your lift will now be fully operational!
Unexpected emergency repairs can be very expensive for both business owners and individuals.
Because of this, a recurring maintenance approach is often the most cost effective and reliable solution.
